“Paper evidence? Tear it to bits, mix into mushed bananas and spoon it down the garbage disposal. With plenty of water, of course.”
Gloria Atmore
COMING SOON: The Act of Fruition
Gloria Atmore, a devout Chemist and Catholic, sees messages in all things great and small. After being booted out of her job, she sets out on what she views as her God-given quest to seek revenge on her former boss.
Planning, preparing, praying and practicing, Gloria propels her murderous plot forward. Ever faithful and always analytical, she deduces her plan must be executed on Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent.
Enter the police detective whose wardrobe choices are always color-coordinated with Gloria’s. Detective John “Jack” Matthew says he’s investigating break-ins around her neighborhood, but Gloria has her suspicions and delicately dances around the truth with him.
Gloria thrives on ritual, detail and the scientific method. So when the Date of Death (DOD) arrives, she is shaken by the events of the day.
Set at the intersection of science, religion and insanity, the Act of Fruition explores the lengths people will go in the name of their Faith, even when their actions are the antithesis of what their beliefs would require.
Once the Act of Fruition is available, grab a cup of tea, pull up a comfortable chair, set an alarm for when you go want to go to bed and begin reading. I recommend not eating a tuna salad sandwich, however.
